Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup butter melted and cooled
  • ½ cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Swirl (Optional)

  • 2 tbsps brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Maple Yogurt Glaze (Optional)

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsps Greek yogurt
  • 1-2 tbsps maple syrup
  • Pinch cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line or grease an 8x8 baking dish.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into pan. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top and swirl gently with a knife, if using.
  6. Bake 30–34 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before glazing (optional).
