These High-Protein Pizza Bites are filled with melty cheese and pepperoni, all wrapped in an easy Greek yogurt dough. They’re a kid-friendly win that’s simple to make and seriously delicious!

These High-Protein Pizza Bites came about randomly on a Friday night when I wanted pizza but didn’t have any dough ready. I have been playing with this Greek yogurt dough for a while and use it for so much but these little pops of pizza are such a joy and the whole family loves them. Who doesn’t love a quick dinner that is also higher in protein to satisfy your pizza craving. I also found that these are good at room temperature so they are a great lunchbox lunch. My kids love them and I have been making them often lately. They will definitely be on our homeschool lunch rotation. Hope you enjoy as much as we do.

How to Make the High-Protein Pizza Bites
Please see the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full recipe details.
- Prepare the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the Greek yogurt dough: Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Add the Greek yogurt and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough: Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until smooth. Add a small amount of flour if it feels too sticky.
- Divide and fill: Divide the dough into eight equal pieces. Flatten each piece and add mozzarella cheese and chopped pepperoni to the center.
- Shape the pizza bites: Fold the dough around the filling, pinch the edges tightly closed, and shape each piece into a ball.
- Add the topping: Place the pizza bites seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Bake: Bake the high-protein pizza bites for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve: Cool for about five minutes, then serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.

Recipe Tips
Use thick Greek yogurt: A thick plain Greek yogurt creates the best dough. Regular yogurt may make it too wet and sticky.
Flour your hands lightly: The dough will be slightly tacky, so a little flour makes it easier to shape without drying it out.
Avoid overfilling: Too much cheese or pepperoni can cause the dough to split and the filling to leak.
Seal each bite tightly: Pinch the edges together well and place the pizza bites seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Cut the pepperoni into small pieces: Chopped pepperoni fits inside the dough more easily and gives you pizza flavor in every bite.
Let them cool briefly: Give the pizza bites five minutes to cool so the cheese stays inside when you open them.
How to Store & Reheat
Allow the pizza bites to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
To reheat, warm them in a 350°F oven for 8–10 minutes or in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes. For a quick option, microwave for 20–30 seconds, although the dough will be softer. You can also enjoy them cold or at room temperature in a lunchbox.
Pizza Bite Variations
What I love about these pizza bites is how easy they are to make your own. Customize the ingredients to make your favorite bite size pizza.
- Cheese Pizza: Skip the pepperoni and just enjoy the cheesy goodness.
- Sausage Pizza: Add some cooked, crumbled sausage with cheese.
- Ham & Cheese: Thinly slice up some ham and cheddar or mozzarella cheese.
- Veggie pizza: Add finely chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach. Sauté watery vegetables first to prevent soggy dough.
- Spicy pizza bites: Add a pinch of crushed red pepper or use spicy pepperoni.
