  • Sourdough bread: Use your homemade sourdough or favorite store-bought brand. Day-old bread works best

      Tips for the Best Croutons

      • Use bread that is slightly stale. This will make chewier and crunchier croutons.
      • Stir your croutons halfway through baking to ensure they are cooked evenly.
      • Make sure that your croutons have cooled completely before storing them so that they stay nice and crisp.
      • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

      Make it Your Own

Sprinkle in some Italian seasonings or paprika to up your flavor. Try olive oil instead of butter for deeper flavor. Add in some grated parmesan cheese before baking to make a cheesy crouton. There are so many different ways to make these croutons your own.
